Laser - On May 7, 1997, the FDA approved the first-ever use of the laser on teeth. The device costs about
$39,000.00 and cannot be used on anyone under 17, nor can it be used to remove amalgam fillings. The
American Dental Association calls it "promising" but further review is necessary before the ADA will officially
